Made in India!!!
Meet Anavila India's fashion changer.....
Just randomly scrolling down on instagram, and of course looking for what will be the next inspiration for made in fashion, and the looking at Sonam Kapoor's instagram picture wearing what I call the dopest sari ever. I was just amazed I really did not name what to describe it, but thankfully she tagged the designer and well you know what happened next. Her name is Anavila Misra Indian fashion designer, looking at her works would really call her the Indian Stella Mccartney. She resonates something different about the sari and brings the most contemporary twist to the sari. Some of it is very quintessential, with the mild silhouettes, her collections are mostly described as pure with textured lines to her saris. Her asthetic is from a very different view minimalism, in other words she often carves in cultural references to her cultural heritage and how she is able to merge this for the 21st century Indian woman.
She is definitely a believer in a sustainable fashion industry, with her hand woven material which are soft and comfortable for the body In setting with India's fashion it only seems right for a designer like this to reproduce something more iconic to come out of India and definitely we are yet to see what it is store for this brand in future. #MadeinIndia...

Her name is Deola Sagoe, cutting edges for African fashion is an understatement, she has given an age and a reason why talents are still relishing in the Africa. Widely known for her flamboyant and extra ordinary designs, her works can match up with Ralph&Russo (personal opinion lol)....and that is not a claim, okay maybe not the same but some how the similarities in their aesthetic is obvious, however, it is clearly defined in their own way. Elegance, classic and very beautiful these are words that can be used to properly describe her work. Her clothes are worn by the richest and I mean the richest, women with power and status around Nigeria and beyond.
House of Deola has grown tremendously over the years and has been able to gain popularity outside Nigeria. Deola has always referenced the best of Yoruba Tradition in her designs.
